I love makeup. I probably have way too much, but I can’t help it! I’ve tried a lot of different products, but I always have my favorites. Below are the products that I’m currently obsessed with! Check it out 🙂
Girlactick Beauty Matte Lip Paint $23 – I just received this product in my Boxycharm (will be doing a review on Boxycharm soon) this month and haven’t stopped wearing it since. I usually don’t like wearing matte lipsticks because my lips start to look and feel too dry, but I don’t feel that way at all with Girlactick! I have the shade Demure, but I would wear any of their shades. Since it isn’t dramatically dark, I’m also able to wear this at work! You can check their website, but they also sell a few products at Walgreens.
DUPE: NYX Lip Lingerie in French Maid $7 – Although the shades aren’t exactly the same. This is a much cheaper alternative. I’ve used NYX Lip Lingerie and this is definitely super matte.
Anastasia Brow Wiz $21 – I’ve been using the Brow Wiz for years and I don’t think that’ll ever change. It’s easy to create a shape with the brow pencil since it goes on soo smoothly (of course I use a light hand when I begin to shape my brows). They have ten shades ranging from blonde to granite, so there’s basically a shade for everyone! I’ve gotten so many sweet comments on my brows, but it’s taken my awhile to get them to look like how I want them to. PRACTICE MAKES (almost) PERFECT when it comes to the brows though, gf! If y’all want me to do a tutorial, comment below 🙂
DUPE: NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil $9.99 – When I was a broke college student, this was my go-to brow pencil. It’s fairly similar, but it does run out quicker than Anastasia. I also think the Anastasia has a better color payoff, but this is still such an awesome product and always my backup.
IT Cosmetics CC Cream $38 – I’ve been using this CC Cream for years now. I’m in-between shades, but I’m currently using this in the shade Medium and mixing it with the Born This Way Foundation. First of all, I love how this has sunscreen (SPF 50+!!!) in it since I’m terrible at remembering to put on sunscreen. Other reasons this product is amazing is that it is full coverage, hydrating and anti-aging! I’m not a huge fan of the scent, but it doesn’t bother me too much. This also comes in seven different shades. 10/10 would recommend!
Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Setting Spray $15 mini, $32 full-size – Y’all know how humid it is in Houston and how sweaty a person can get here. Trust me when I say that this setting spray is EVERYTHING. In combination with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder (I talk about this next), I have a full face of makeup on all day long. I spray this all over my face once I’m done with all my face makeup but BEFORE my lashes. I never look shiny and it just keeps everything in place. Once it is done drying, you won’t even feel like you’ve sprayed a layer on your face. One of my long time faves!
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder $23 mini, $38 full-size – In combination with the setting spray, you’ll be unstoppable. This is also made to keep your makeup on, but still feels light on your face. My skin looks and feels extremely smooth by absorbing any oil and doesn’t create a white cast when you’re taking photos with flash. This is worth every penny, I promise.
